Bob Chilcott has enjoyed a lifelong association with choral music. After singing as a chorister and choral scholar at King’s College, Cambridge, he became a member of the internationally acclaimed King’s Singers before establishing himself as a full-time composer and conductor. His music is performed across the globe, with works such as A Little Jazz Mass, Can You Hear Me?, Requiem and the St John Passion becoming favourites with choirs of every tradition.

He continues to conduct choirs in more than thirty countries and is widely recognised for his gift of bringing singers together through joyful, accessible music-making.

The workshop will begin with registration from 9.00am, before rehearsals commence at 9.30am, concluding at approximately 4.30pm.

The day is open to SATB singers of all abilities, whether attending individually or as part of a choir. There is no performance, allowing everyone to enjoy a relaxed day focused entirely on learning, singing and making music together.

The cost is £20 per person, which includes the hire of the music for use throughout the workshop. Copies of the music will also be available to purchase after the event should participants wish to continue enjoying these works with their own choirs.

Participants are asked to bring a packed lunch. Tea, coffee and light refreshments will be available to purchase during the day.

Parking is available nearby at Tŷ Pawb (LL13 8BB), just a short walk from St Giles’ Church in the heart of Wrexham city centre.
